PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION

In celebrating and recognizing the important role that women in our society play , especially those that support the company directly by buying Antelope Milling products, the competition was an opportunity for this special; celebrating the women.

The competition also looked at creating an original recipe bank which we shall include on the website as RECIPES that one can make using Antelope Milling Products. In so doing, the many people will learn on how to easily prepare different dishes/meals using the milling company’s products.

The competition was simply a baking and cooking contest, using any of Antelope Milling products. It aimed at awarding the most creative baker / cook. It targeted women only, hence, launched on International Women’s Day and running for two months (March and April).

PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY

The Prize giving ceremony was held on the Thursday, 16^th May 2024 and was hosted by INDIAN BASKET RESTAURANT located at Mosi oa Tunya Mall in Munali are off Great East Road.

Sponsors: Indian Basket (Free venue) and Antelope Milling (Prizes and Funds).

Antelope buys over 7000 tonnes of Maize

Antelope Wholesale Merchants has continued to be a business that has produced a ripple effect on the community it operates in and beyond. In the just ended farming season, Antelope has bought maize from farmers in Mpongwe, Masaiti, Kapiri, Mkushi, Serenje , Solwezi, Chingola and Lufwanyama averaging totals of over 7000 metric tonnes. With a lucrative stamp on maize, Antelope has bought maize now at K3.70 , granting farmers more profit yields.

Antelope also continues to share new trends in farming to its farmers in order to share in the industry with sustainable practices that influence development.

Known as Magwinya in Botswana and South Africa, this delicacy has from time immemorial been a delight to many who partake of it. Fritters , make up a list of one of the best street food one can get on the go and still get energized especially when taken down with a drink.
Antelope’s Fritter flour comes in very handy as this special mix makes this delicacy come out with the same great taste as always!
